Lakewood Township Airport
Located in the heart of the township’s industrial park, Lakewood Airport
can offer something to every one... corporate clients, aviation enthusiasts, the township’s
general population and even baseball fans. Lakewood Airport (FAA 3 digit designation N12) is
operated and managed by the Lakewood Township Airport Authority with aviation services
provided the FBO, Aviation Charters, Inc. |
|
Less than 40 minutes flying time from all of the metropolitan international
airports, Lakewood Airport offers the township’s corporate and industrial clients the opportunity to
be located in a very desirable area while still being in the main stream. Fixed wing and
helicopter charter services are available or clients can fly themselves in to conduct
business. In the very near future, the Airport Authority will be offering long term leasing
opportunities on approximately 64 acres of prime real estate along Airport Road for corporate
development. |

Recreational flyers and two aero clubs have rediscovered Lakewood Airport. Following a complete rebuilding of the runway and taxiway with the addition of
services, the number of resident aircraft has risen from less than 20 to over 70. The Civil
Air Patrol with its search aircraft remains an active user of the airport. Flying lessons,
orientation flights, charters, banner towing, transient parking and other services are
available. |
